Viviane

Viviane (25) was a patient from Nosy Varika and was referred by our Patient Ambassador Georgette. She had a previous unsuccessful surgery in Mananjary. She is a single mother of a twin daughters and is the sole breadwinner for the family.

Viviane had fistula for one year and found it very difficult to find food as society rejected her. The only way to feed her and her family was to go fishing and labor in her neighbors fields.

Following surgery at our Fistula Care Centre in Madagascar she is completely dry and healed. She also gained handcraft and cooking skills during her stay with us and will apply what she learnt as potential sources of income.
